About Us

Though the store first opened its doors in 2010, the story became mine in 2020, with roots that go back much further.
I was raised by a single mom who showed me by example how to be resourceful, resilient, and intentional. When money was tight, you learn quickly how to save, how to shop smart, and how to make the most of what you have. My mom, like so many mothers gave endlessly of herself. She taught me one of the most valuable lessons of my life, the true value of a dollar.
Some of my earliest memories are of us hosting multiple yard sales every year to make a little extra money. What seemed like simple weekend events at the time were actually the foundation of everything I do today. Even then, I was merchandising, lining clothes up by color, pairing a pink vase with fresh flowers next to a comforter in the same tones, arranging our backyard like a shop before I even knew what that meant. I loved creating beauty, order, and connection through shared things.
As I grew older, that love never left me. I began consigning as a customer with Miss Fitz in 2018, not realizing it was already preparing me for something bigger. When I learned the shop was for sale, I felt a clear and steady calling. This was where I was meant to be. I did not just find the opportunity, God led me to it.
Today, this store is more than a business. It is a reflection of everything I was taught; hard work, respect for quality, sustainability, and community. It is a place where items are given a second life, where people shop thoughtfully, and where every piece has a story. I love helping people and love the community I live in. I believe in giving back as often as possible. Sometimes utilizing our resources to help clothe those in need, or by donating items to local charities such as Exodus Ministries or the The Foster Closet. When I see a need and feel led to help, I do.
Miss Fitz exists today because my sweet mama created a foundation for me as a child that is still with me today. I was blessed to have her work by my side as I began this journey in 2020. Some people remember her as the dancing queen of the store, she loved to dance! She also loved to clean so a lot of times she had a broom or duster in hand while dancing. Losing her to dementia in 2024 put even more drive in me to be better and do more.
My mission is to help women to become strong, resourceful beings, and have faith in following the path set before you. We are honored to be part of your story now too.
Welcome. We are so glad you are here.
